Isaac Bruce is heading to the San Francisco 49ers.
Bruce has agreed to a two-year deal worth $6 million that in all likelihood will see the long-time Rams wide receiver end his stellar NFL career playing for the Rams’ biggest rival.
Bruce was released Thursday by the Rams after Bruce declined to accept a proposed $2 million salary cut.

He will be reunited in San Francisco with former Rams head coach Mike Martz, who joined the 49ers as offensive coordinator earlier this offseason.
Meanwhile, with Todd Collins re-signing with the Washington Redskins, Trent Green looks like the next option for the Rams as Marc Bulger’s backup at quarterback.
Even before Collins re-upped with Washington, league sources said the Rams planned to bring Green -- a Vianney High product -- in for a visit next week.
Green’s St. Louis-based agent, Jim Steiner, confirmed Friday that he is indeed talking with the Rams, and that a visit is possible next week. Steiner said several other teams also have expressed interest.
Steiner also represents Cincinnati defensive end Justin Smith, a former University of Missouri star. The Rams have not expressed interest in Smith. He visited San Francisco on Friday, the first day of the free agency period, but left without a contract.
